TRANSCRIPT: Part 2: Clinical Proteomics Drug Repair Mechanism

On another part of the cell, another molecule docks with a new protein receptor. This signaling pathway begins, but it is blocked by another element in the cell.

Scientists are working on developing specific drugs that can unblock signaling pathways. Once the pathway is repaired, the signaling can continue on to the cell's nucleus.

This would be a successful use of a drug in the new field called clinical proteomics.
